Welcome to the City of Lowden

The city website will allow you to learn about your city government, pay your bills on-line, print forms, view city code, be informed of upcoming events and stay up to date with city news.

For more than 150 years, people have called Lowden home. Lowden is located on the original route of the Lincoln Highway and is centrally located between Davenport and Cedar Rapids making us a perfect place for small-town living.

We believe for our city to prosper, it must include value for all. Our residents take pride in the city they call home and the city is grateful for the many volunteers who tirelessly give their time to make Lowden a place to call home.

The city has a variety of offerings including an elementary school, daycare, Memorial park with splashpad, park shelters, RC track, disc golf and walking path, Library, Historical Society, Volunteer Fire and EMS group, hotel, bank, golf course, Attorney office, American Legion, Dental office, Appliance store, Churches and many other businesses and organizations.

Part of our duties as a city, is to engage residents to think creatively, so that we can test new approaches and identify the best solutions to improve our streets and infrastructure. We will continue our efforts in providing services to you and we encourage our residents to be involved at council meetings. Together we can continue to work to protect our future.
