Lowden Memorial Park

Developed in honor of the veterans of the community, Lowden Memorial Park is comprised of 17 acres in the northwest corner of the city. The park features softball and baseball diamonds with Musco lights, One open shelter and, two enclosed shelters and various children's playground areas. Throughout the years, Lowden Memorial Park became the site for the Lowden Indies, a semi-pro baseball team, and currently is home to North Cedar High School's baseball and softball teams. The Memorial Walking Trail is close to a mile in length and stretches throughout the park, where you can see all the hard work of volunteers, who maintain the flower beds and memorial areas. Recent improvements include a Disc Golf Course, RC track and a new bridge was installed in April of 2023.The park has been a hub of the community for approximately 60 years.

3/30 Golf & Country Club

Located on the east edge of the city. The privately-owned country club offers a nine-hole golf course, swimming pool and clubhouse with dining and facilities available.

Park Shelter Reservations

Two enclosed park shelters are available to rent at Lowden Memorial Park. Park Shelter rentals are available from April 1st - October 31st - Weather permitting. All shelters have electricity, water, fridge, tables and chairs. A fee of $50.00 is required to rent a shelter and $50.00 cleaning deposit are required along with advanced reservations. The park also has an open shelter that is available free of charge on a first come-first serve basis. The park is open from 9am -10pm Mon - Sun.  Please contact the City Clerk at 563-941-7705 or stop by City Hall to make your reservation. Please note all rental fees are non-refundable. Thank you.
