Lowden Memorial Park
Developed in honor of the veterans of the community, Lowden Memorial Park is comprised of 17 acres in the northwest corner of the city. The park features softball and baseball diamonds with new Musco lights, three picnic pavilions, two smaller picnic shelters, a sand volleyball pit and children's playground. Throughout the years, Memorial Park became the site for the Lowden Indees, a semi-pro baseball team, and currently is home to North Cedar High School's baseball and softball teams. Memorial Trail walking path, close to a mile in length, winds through the park. Most recently a Disc Golf Course was added for an additional recreation opportunity. The park has been a hub of the community for nearly 60 years.
