Emergency Services

The Fire department and EMS departments are located South of City Hall. Lowden has 20 volunteer firemen and EMS members. Monthly meetings are held the last Monday of each month. Lowden EMS

Lowden EMS is a state certified EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) service. Lowden EMS is staffed with EMT’s and EMR’s (Emergency Medical Responder’s). Lowden EMS is a first responder service and does not transport. They respond and treat and stabilize until the transporting ambulance arrives on scene. EMS carry medical equipment such as oxygen, AED and diagnostic equipment. The EMS team is housed at the Fire Station.Members are dispatched by pagers and portable radios through the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office.
