***The Lowden Tree Committee is offering $50.00 in Lowden Booster Bucks to the first six people planting a tree this Spring. It’s one tree per residence located within city limits. The cost of the tree must be a minimum of $100.00 to qualify. Call Jan Olsen at 563-941-5511 with any questions or to show your receipt.
***The City of Lowden is seeking a Library Director. The City offers generous paid vacation, holidays, sick leave and retirement benefits. Position hours will be 32 hours per week, but may require occasional evening or Saturday hours for special events & meetings. The Library Director will manage all day to day operations of the library. Must possess strong people and computer skills. Proficiency in or ability to learn all library online resources. Must be able to bring unique and engaging programs to the community. Must be able to work effectively in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions. Pay will be commensurate with experience. Qualifications: High School education and prior library experience preferred. Must have strong customer and computer skills and enjoy interacting with children. ***Garbage Pick-up Notice: The City of Lowden cannot take paint, chemicals of any description, motor oil or cooking oil, fluorescent bulbs, batteries (including car batteries), appliances, TVs or tires. These items must be disposed of correctly at the transfer station. Please contact the transfer station at 563-886-6437 for options during COVID-19. We appreciate your cooperation to keep everyone safe.

***The City Council of Lowden has approved a Sidewalk Replacement Reimbursement Program for 2019/2020 totaling $15,000 in available funds.
